Retweeting is a compliment, it is like saying "I just had a look at this great site that @surefirehire recommended and I think it is great". There are lots of 'rules' for twitter according to some users (including not RT too much) - I even remember reading a post that strongly advised to not send more that 7 tweets a day in case people unfollow you for tweeting too much!!! Twitter, for me, is about sharing, it is about 2-way conversations and keeping up to date with new trends in my areas of interest.
